Completely blown away by this guitar! Big bass but not muddy like some HD-28's i've played. Big volume but Very clear sounding guitar and the highs just shimmer like no other standard series Martin....The D-41 is a beast folks!!

Bought this at the online store and was a tad nervous that it wouldn't live up to its reputation. Fortunately, it did. After six months I can't believe how fantastic this guitar sounds finger-picked or strummed. Best Martin I've ever had.

The poor reviews seem to come from folks complaining about the price. However, if you desire this amazing guitar with the highest graded woods, material ,build quality...that is the price you'll pay. I upgraded from the 1981 HD-28 to the new Martin D-41 and was drawn to its greater clarity, the spectacular highs, mids, lows and clean volume.I am humbled by this masterpiece.

I bought this D41 at the Victoria store. It was a spur of the moment buy that I don't regret. Worst part of owning this guitar is having to be so careful with it and not using any of my other guitars.
