A month ago, I bought a guitar from L&M, and today I swapped it back for a used Les Paul Studio; I literally couldn’t be happier. The sound, the feel, the colour (mine is Pelham Blue), even the funky hard shell case with all the case candy still inside, with the fuchsia pink fur; this is my guitar for life. A big thanks to Bob in the Custom shop for making this happen!

I've had it for about 6 months, these would be my take aways: - Wonderful sustain - Plays like a hot knife through butter - Humbuckers are great with a wide range of sounds - Blues to Heavy Metal(Standard Tuning) - Hard to find a studio with a bound neck - Comes with a hard case - Not as heavy as you would think - Pull/Pull pots that you can change to mimic(ish) a Strat, meeh I guess? Not buying this for a strat sound but nice that I mess around there and then go back - haha, the rosewood smells heavenly

As someone who owns a Les Paul standard and Les Paul Custom, i can say i still pick this guitar up regularly. I purchased this guitar in the Smokehouse Burst and it is a gorgeous guitar. I'm glad i picked up the 2018 model because i see the new ones do not have the neck binding, and im a sucker for binding. right from the slim neck to the 57 pups its a dream to play on, a great sounding guitar. Snarling rhythms and leads and really great clarity make this guitar a solid go to when im recording. It may not be as flashy as my custom (which is also an amazing guitar) but i would recommend this guitar to anyone. Do not feel like you are settling if you pick this baby up!

I bought this guitar 3 months ago and have played it daily. It is a beautiful instrument that I plan to use for decades to come. I love the look and the feel as well as the little touches like the pic that comes with it of it on the final inspection table. There is a youtube series on GibsonTV that is called the process and it shows the work, nay, craftsmanship that goes into this. It is impressive. The only thing marked down is value, it is a beautiful instrument and a pleasure to use but let's face it. They are expensive. Some argue worth it, and I can't say it is not worth the price, but the overall value of what you spend is not the greatest. Not saying it isn't worth it, it just doesn't have a proportionate value to me. That said, I love this thing so maybe it does...

I love the sound of the '57 classics. I like the more subtle wood grain of the plain maple top and don't mind that it down't have a binding on the body because the black edges are so striking. I used to own a 12 lb LP Custom, so I'm relieved that this is much lighter at about 7.5 lbs. Despite what you may hear, the weight-relief does NOT hurt the sustain....notes ring out forever. The slim-taper neck feels good, more like an SG, which I prefer. It stays in tune relatively well for a Gibson. It's great to have a white binding on a Studio model. At $1550 it's a great deal especially with the hardshell case.

I have owned this about 1.5 months and have played it quite a bit since I bought it. The fit and finish on this are incredible. It is a beautiful guitar to play and has excellent sound. I wish I could make it sound truly amazing but that is my limitations, not the guitar. These are not cheap guitars, not by any stretch but man are they beautiful to look at and to play. I found it was worth the price to own such a beautiful instrument. Check out "The Process' on youtube under Gibson TV to see just what goes into making these and you will understand the price more.

This is an awesome guitar at a price that will not cause your divorce! Lol. I have 8 other guitars and I must say this is among the top 3 in my collection. I set up all my guitars myself and this had slightly higher action than what I wanted . After setting this up, it plays like a dream. The first time I plugged this in all I could say was OMG! The 57 Classic pick ups sound great! The neck is great and the tones you can get from coil spiltting the pick ups are unimaginable! Get it while u still can. The 2019 Studios come with 490T498T pick ups which dont compare the the 57 classics in this guitar. I had those in my Tribute and they dont produce the same great sound as the 57s do. Kudos to Carmine of the Edmonton-North location. Great service brother!

I've played guitar for 25 years, but am in no way a professional. This guitar looks, plays and sounds awesome. Great value at the price point. Hard to justify 2x the price for body binding on higher end models. Gibson hit it out of the park with this year's Studios. Love that it came with a vintage brown leather hard case as well.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
